TIM ROSE

Tim Rose is a life long native of Oklahoma. He has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education and a Master’s degree in Higher Education with an emphasis in the arts from the University of Central Oklahoma. He is an award winning art teacher including the Milken National Educator Award and is a National Board Certified Teacher. He has also received a Governor’s Commendation in recognition of his teaching. He has been recognized in Southwest Art Magazine as one to watch when looking to start your new art collection and has received numerous awards and recognitions for his paintings.

Rose has dedicated the past twenty-two years to teaching art at the high school and college level. "Teaching has been an exciting experience for me. The reward of seeing the results of my students has always been something that brings me great joy. The moment when students realize that they have the talent to make something beautiful or interesting is an achievement for both my students and me."

Rose has studied with nationally know artist Jean Chambers, Gay Faulkenberry, Sherrie McGraw and other prominent Oklahoma artists. In addition, he has found his membership in a local critique group to be extremely beneficial. "The advantage of having an experienced and knowledgeable set of eyes to critique your painting is an invaluable benefit."

Today, Rose continues to teach but has made time in his schedule to paint as a serious artist. "The still life has found a particularly special place in my heart. I have always loved beautiful objects. Now I find pleasure in making everyday objects look beautiful."

"As I look to the future, I seek to find a place in my life where painting is simply an extension of who I am and how I think."

The landscape is also special to Rose. "I hope to have more time and opportunities to explore the beautiful world around me with my canvas and brush." "I look forward to traveling with my wife and painting wherever and whatever I find beautiful and pleasing.”
